How to Sign Up and Log In to Fanvue
Step-by-step guide to creating a Fanvue account, logging in, and troubleshooting common access issues.
Whether you want to subscribe to your favorite creators or start selling content yourself, the first step is creating a Fanvue account. This guide walks you through the signup process, explains the different account types, and covers common login issues and how to fix them.
How to Create a Fanvue Account
Signing up for Fanvue is straightforward and takes about two minutes for a basic subscriber account. Here is the step-by-step process:
Step 1: Visit Fanvue
Go to fanvue.com and click the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner of the page.
Step 2: Choose Your Signup Method
Fanvue offers several ways to create an account:
- Email and password -- The most common method. Enter your email address and create a strong password
- Google account -- Sign up instantly using your Google credentials
- Twitter/X account -- Connect your Twitter account for quick registration
Step 3: Verify Your Email
If you signed up with email, Fanvue will send a verification link to your inbox. Click the link to confirm your account. Check your spam folder if you do not see it within a few minutes.
Step 4: Complete Your Profile
Add a display name and profile photo. For subscriber accounts, this is optional but recommended if you plan to interact with creators through messages or comments.
Subscriber vs Creator Accounts
Fanvue has two main account types:
Subscriber Account
This is the default account type when you sign up. With a subscriber account, you can:
- Browse and follow creators
- Subscribe to paid accounts
- Send messages and tips
- Purchase PPV content
- Save favorites and manage subscriptions
Creator Account
To start selling content, you need to upgrade to a creator account. This requires additional verification:
- Government-issued photo ID for identity verification
- Age verification (must be 18+)
- Bank account or payment method for receiving payouts
- Agreement to creator terms of service
The creator verification process typically takes 24-48 hours. Once approved, you can set up your subscription pricing, upload content, and start earning. For a complete guide to setting up a creator account, see our getting started on Fanvue guide.
How to Log In to Fanvue
Logging in is simple:
- Go to fanvue.com
- Click "Log In" in the top right corner
- Enter your email and password, or click the Google/Twitter login button if you used one of those to sign up
- If you have two-factor authentication enabled, enter the code from your authenticator app
Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication
We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for your Fanvue account. Here is how:
- Log in to your Fanvue account
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Navigate to Security settings
- Enable two-factor authentication
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password
- Enter the verification code to confirm setup
- Save your backup codes in a secure location
Two-factor authentication adds a critical layer of security, especially for creator accounts that handle financial transactions. Learn more about account security in our Fanvue safety guide.
Common Login Issues and Fixes
Forgot Your Password
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Fanvue will send a password reset link to your registered email. If you do not receive it, check your spam folder and make sure you are entering the correct email address.
Email Verification Not Working
If the verification link has expired, log in to your account and request a new verification email from the settings page. Links typically expire after 24 hours.
Account Locked
Too many failed login attempts can temporarily lock your account. Wait 15-30 minutes and try again, or use the password reset flow to regain access.
Cannot Access with Social Login
If you signed up with Google or Twitter and later changed or deleted that social account, you may lose access. Contact Fanvue support to link a new login method to your account.
Two-Factor Code Not Working
Make sure the time on your phone is synchronized. Authenticator codes are time-based and a clock skew of even 30 seconds can cause codes to fail. If you have lost access to your authenticator, use one of your backup codes.
Managing Your Account
Once logged in, you can manage your account through the Settings page:
- Profile settings -- Update display name, bio, and profile picture
- Privacy settings -- Control who can see your activity and profile
- Notification preferences -- Configure email and push notification settings
- Payment methods -- Add, update, or remove payment methods for subscriptions
- Subscription management -- View and manage your active subscriptions
